My dear readers,
Yesterday marked the end of the first six months of me blogging here at Curiously Dead Cat! I cannot believe how much the time has flown!
And yet, it also seems far too short a time to have gotten to know each of you, and to have chatted and tweeted and argued and encouraged so much. It’s been a lot of fun!
I had an idea for something big to do to celebrated. But then I thought, “I’m doing the collab with Moya, the Weekly Shonen Jump reviews, another article for Beneath the Tangles, and I have a business trip next week.” So maybe we’ll do the big idea later.
Instead, I’m going to go actually watch some anime, specifically the latest episodes of Hinamatsuri, Isekai Izakaya, Nobunaga no Shinobi, and My Sweet Tyrant, and maybe something older from my queue. Curious what’s in my queue? I was going to set up a MAL site to track all this stuff, but I get the feeling now is not quite the right time to do that! So instead, here goes:
Shiki (duh!)
Kingdom (have started)
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumya (partway through)
Love, Chinubyo, and Other Delusions (have started)
Angel Beats (never seen it!)
Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto! (have started)
Gurren Lagann (partway through)
Chaika—The Coffin Princess- (never seen it)
Black Lagoon (seen ep 1)
Samurai Champloo (seen an episode or two)
Axis Powers Hetalia (started it)
Saga of Tanya the Evil (never started it)
Golden Time (never started)
Bungo Stray Dogs (have started)
Fairy Tail (started)
Hitori no Shita (almost caught up!)
Durarara (seen a good part of it)
If you know any of these and/or want to make any recommendations, or just want to help me feel valued and appreciated, go ahead and drop me a line in the comments! 🙂 And again, thank you all for being so supportive and fun!
Congratulations on the 6 months!!!
Thank you, Rose!😀
Congratulations on 6 months and looking forward to when you celebrate your 1 year anniversary. Hope you keep having fun.
Thank you, Karandi! 😃
Nice! The next 6 months are going to be even better!
Yes! And thank you!😎
Congratulations again!
Congratulations on the half year.
I’m familiar with quite a few of those titles – Bungou Stray Dogs had an OVA put on Crunchyroll recently, so I’m still in a BSD mood as I type this comment.
There’s more than just MAL around in regards to anime tracking sites – I remember Plain Pasta and Plain Rice (oddly enough, they’re an anime blogger) has the “Anime Tracker Comparison” which is exactly what you’ll need if you do decide to consider making an account on one of the sites.
Thanks, Magicconan! And thank you for the recommendations, I guess I hadn’t heard of any others besides MAL so it didn’t even occur to me to look around.
Yay, congrats for six months.
Danke schoen, Herr Scott!🥂
Woohoo! Congratulations on six months! Shiki, shiki is so good. My fav of all the horror/vampire anime out there.
Yeah, MAL isn’t in a good place right now. I’m thinking that looking for another alternative sounds like a good idea. It sucks though, I had such a long list on MAL and I can’t really remember them all. Which might be a good thing since I don’t know when to find the time to watch the all anyway. 😎
Thanks, Lina! I’m really enjoying Shiki. 🙂 Actually, I’ve kind of been on a vampire kick lately, but Shiki is still best by far of the shows I’ve been watching.
Too bad about MAL. Have you found any alternatives?
Nah, but I can’t say I have been seriously searching either. My anime watching is on a low atm.
Vampires are fascinating creatures, I love them.
Congrats on a half year! It’s a great feeling, keep up the good work! Of the shows you listed and I know pretty well…definitely finish Samurai Champloo and Gurren Lagann. Picking up Angel Beats! is a good idea as well. Here’s to the best of luck as you continue forth!
Thank you, AniB! 😺 All of these have received good recommendations for me, so looks like I’ve got some watching to do!
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been doing this since late January of 2017, although perhaps not as consistently as I’d like. Still, it’s rewarding, especially when I meet neat new writers like yourself!
