Hi all, it’s time to thank you, my awesome readers! In the last couple of weeks, we’ve:

And all this while I was actually blogging less because of some stuff (good stuff!) happening in my personal life.

That’s the Good. The Bad, mostly, is that people keep telling me they’re having trouble accessing my blog or subscribing. I also got a spike in “404” errors, and am trying to track the cause of that down. Does anyone have any insight into possible reasons for these kinds of problems? I’ll call BlueHost one of these days and rag on them. (Despite my poem earlier this week, in which I complained that they couldn’t help me and left me on hold forever, they’ve actually been awesome. That part of the poem was entirely fictional.)

And the Ugly? Well, that would include WordPress’s blogger interface. It’s really kind of a pain to navigate. I wonder if there are any alternative interfaces that still allow you to use WordPress. Also, not having enough time to write all the blog posts I want to! Also also, not having enough time to read all the posts you put out there, which I really would like to do!

Wanting to wrap up this post on a more positive note, let me end by revealing my “caffeine playlist”, the list of anime songs I’m currently listening to when I head to the office in the morning to wake me up. Enjoy, and feel free to add your own in the comments!

  • Black Clover opening 4
  • Dragon Ball Super opening 1
  • Gate opening 1
  • My Hero Academia, Season 3  opening 2
  • Recovery of an MMO Junkie opening
  • Overlord 2 opening
  • Overlord 3 opening
  • Restaurant to Another World opening
  • RWBY, Season 1 opening

There’s also a handful of tunes that are not directly from anime but which have some connection to it:

  • “Overdrive”, by Scandal (J-pop music group that did the music for Bleach opening 10)
  • “How Crazy”, by Yui (J-pop music star who also does anime songs)
  • “Wham Bam”, the song used in last year’s Crunchroll ad for Citrus

Lastly, I’ve got an odd one out: “Friday, I’m in Love”, by the Cure.

Who needs coffee when you’ve got music like this! 🙂

  1. Can’t lie. (with the exception of the second one) Black Clover’s OPs have a way of slowly growing on me until they’re just in my head constantly XD Also: MMO Junkie’s OP is bliss. It’s just. So good. I don’t actually have ‘wake up’ songs, I don’t think. Maybe “Resonance” from Soul Eater? It’s a bop.

Awesome work on the milestones! Congrats.

  2. Congrats on the good and the follower counts! As for the bad – hopefully things will get better with that. 🙁 Stuff like errors shouldn’t happen…

  3. WordPress keeps things interesting by introducing us to a new glitch every day it seems. I had trouble finding the follow button (I eventually managed to follow you after leaving a like on your post after which I got a prompt asking me if I wanted to follow: DUH 😂). But really: congrats on the follower count. Maybe you could contact wordpress and ask if they can somehow help you with some of these issues? 😊

  4. I remember getting a 404 on We Rent Tsukumogami ep 1 because Chrome was telling me your domain wasn’t secure, so maybe ask whoever’s responsible for your domain about digital certificates…

    1. Ah, thanks. I had that issue once before and it was relatively easy to straighten out once I realized the problem.

  5. Hey, congrats on your blog’s progress! Sorry I haven’t dropped by in a bit, but I know you saw my little update over on my blog why 🙂 It definitely seems like you’ve got a lot of great things going on right now, and I must say, I like the playlist. Dragon Ball Super’s OP 1 in particular is a very catchy song that doesn’t get enough love partially because the second OP is super memorable, but I’m glad to see it get a mention here! And yes, WordPress’s blogger interface isn’t exactly perfect. I just wish I had easier ways to connect with neat people on here, like yourself! Keep up the good work!

      1. You’re welcome! Oh, one more thing I wanted to ask, actually: how did you get a robust Twitter following? I keep an account but compared to my blog it might as well be a ghost town. Appreciate any advice 🙂
