Combatants Will Be Dispatched continues to deliver (near-)Konosuba levels of comedy and fantasy hijinks. But one brief moment in episode 2 actually gave me warm fuzzies. 🙂 Grimm, the priestess in a wheelchair, invites Agent Six to go on a date with her. So he does.
First, he replaces her old wooden wheelchair with a modern one from Earth.
Next, he pushes her at top speed through the desert while she giggles delightedly. “At this moment, you’re the fastest person in the world,” Six tells her.
Finally, they careen through town in the twilight, harassing happy couples who happen to be out for a midnight stroll. Just a young man and woman doing what they love together, you know.
There’s no lack of date scenes in anime. But of all the ones I’ve seen, this was one of the most entertaining—and one of the sweetest!
I might watch just to see this!
My work here is done! 😁👍
OK, the date scene was cute. Now I gotta go back and watch ep 1 to figure things out. . .
I laughed so hard when she was explaining how the curses work and he thought that one curse had backfired making it so that her legs were weak and that was why she was in a wheelchair, but then she said it’s because she can’t wear shoes…
I wasn’t sold after the first episode, but this one was much better.
Hehe! Yes, I’m looking forward to more! 😁
