Hot diggity—I just realized I’ve checked out more than a dozen anime for the first time this season! Truly we are awash in an embarrassment of riches! Are you ready for some haiku?

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai

Witty bantering,
with a disappearing girl:
Schrodinger’s Bunny.

 

My Sister, My Writer

A novel success,
unsuccessful novelist,
and twincest harem.

 

SSSS.Gridman

Mecha anime,
makes less sense than Planet With.
However, who cares?

 

Ulysses: Jeanne D’Arc and the Alchemist Knight

Tries to save a girl.
Dumbledore the Librarian
refuses to help.

Double Decker! Doug & Krill

Like ACCA-13(?),
with rather a faster plot
and drugs. Lots of drugs.

 

Radiant

Generic shonen,
yet friends and perseverance
are not enough. Surprise!

 

Fairy Tale (Last Season)

Yeah, right. Does anyone really believe this is the true, last, final season?

Holy carp! I just typed that out as a single line, and then realized it had almost exactly the right number of syllables for a haiku!!! Let’s give it a few slight tweaks:

Is there anyone
who really thinks that this is
the final season?

 

Zombie Land Saga

Japanese idols
rap and headbang death metal.
Oh, and they are dead.

Of these, Rerided is the only one that I will definitely be watching, even though I’m vaguely disappointed that the “Derrida” in the story isn’t some time-travelling scholar of French philosophy.
