Curiously Dead Cat recently (in the last week or so) hit two milestones:
- More than fifty WordPress followers!
- Over 180 total followers!
Coinciding with this, I’ve added a new page to the site. You may remember awhile back I mentioned starting to include affiliate links on the blog? Well, as you may have noticed, I haven’t been including a lot of them, mostly because I forget…
So I finally decided to create a new page, separate from the posts but regularly updated, dedicated to “Recommendations”. But this is not a mere landing site for affiliate links—it is a page where I can recommend to you products and services that I have found particularly helpful in one way or another. Some are affiliate links, others are not: All are simply things which I thought you might want to check out.
Also, I’ve made a decision! As you know, I’ve blogged largely about anime on this blog, and occasionally about other things. However, generally the posts about anime are not the ones that generate the most hits and blog traffic. There are two things that generate most of the new visits to this site:
- My post about Businessmen vs. Aliens.
- Posts about the ins and outs of blogging and social media in general.
… in that order. After watching the stats for some time, I was faced with a choice: Should I expand the kinds of topics I write about to generate more hits? Or should I stick with the aniblogging which, frankly, I enjoy the most?
And you know what? I’m sticking with the anime blogging. Oh, the occasional post on something else is fine, but generally this is what I enjoy the most. So I’m going to stick with it. After all, it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the fun.

It’s the same for me too. My anime and cosplay posts don’t generate the most traffic. I get the most traffic from talking about Asian dramas and Chinese celebrities. 😂😂😂😂
