Cat Sensei in Planet With

Hey, all! Got a couple of quick things to go over, and then a couple fun anecdotes.

First, let’s talk about the past. Crunchyroll no longer has Shiki, so until I get my hands on it again there won’t be any more reviews with Moya.

Second, about the future. I’m about to start celebrating Lent, the six weeks or so preparing for Easter. To help me focus, I’m taking a break from social media during this time. So no blogging or Twitter for me until we start hunting Easter eggs. I do plan to do one or two things for Beneath the Tangles, but otherwise will be in absentia until the big day. Hopefully I’ll return refreshed and invigorated!

Now for some fun stuff!

Recently, some of my friends over at Beneath the Tangles were arguing on Discord as to whether Tetris was fun. Feeling somewhat left out of the conversation, as I don’t play Tetris much, I chimed in with the following deep wisdom:

Tetris is fundamentally pagan. “Tetri” is short for Tetragrammaton, a symbol for God. “Tetris”, being plural, is basically polytheism. Christians should avoid it. … The falling blocks allude to the devil and his angels being cast into Gehenna. And while I’m generally in favor of encouraging people to meditate on their impending damnation, the fact that the blocks disappear reflects the heresy that the damned will ultimately cease to exist.

This sparked a brilliant discussion, concluding with one friend vowing to burn his Nintendo Switch. So all in all, a success!

Who says satire is dead on the Net?

All of my family (except for Mrs. Primes) has been bitten by the Shadowverse bug. Shadowverse, you may know, is a Hearthstone-like game that has tie-ins to anime like Mysteria Friends or Fate/Stay Night. There are eight classes to choose from: Forestcraft (fairies), Swordcraft (knights), Runecraft (mage/alchemist), Dragoncraft (dragons), Shadowcraft (necromancy), Bloodcraft (vampire), Havencraft (priest), and Portalcraft (techomage).

At dinner the other day, we were chatting about our favorite classes to play.

Me: “Mine, of course, is Portalcraft.”

Mini Primes: “I like Bloodcraft.”

Micro Primes: “Havencraft.”

Nano Primes: “Swordcraft. Plus her hair looks like mine.”

Not to be left out, Pico Primes chimed in. But since he’s way too young to actually play, I was curious to hear what he’d say was his preferred class. He announced:

“My favorite is STARCRAFT!”

Son, you do me proud.

See you all in a few weeks!
